Tucked in a bylane of Pali Hill, TBB is easy to find. The facade is not as appealing as the name is but that’s an ignorable shortcoming. The restaurant is tiny yet cozy. The interior is minimalistic and the walls are adorned by travel theme knick-knacks.
The owner, Anurag, welcomed me and narrated the story behind TBB. Anurag himself is an avid traveler and he misses great food he tried from around the world. TBB is conceptualized by the need to have some great dishes from different corners of the world at one place.
The is small but covers some famous world cuisine. They also have a special menu which changes almost daily.

We got started with Mushroom tea, a thick mushroom soup made with button mushrooms. Recommended if you like mushroom soup.

Thukpa is a Tibetan dish/soup of mix vegetables and noodles. You can choose to go with a traditional variant which is little bland to Indian palate or try with a little mix-up of Indian spices. We opted the latter and liked it very much.

The smooth textured Leek Potato soup too was great with a prominent taste of roasted potatoes.

We were then offered Beetroot Tikki Chaat, a chaat dish. The crispy tikkis of beetroot were served with mint chutney. Recommended if you like chaat dishes.

Next was Bunny Chow (Veg), a South African dish with curry served inside a carved bread and served with French Fries and salad. This is surely a not to be missed dish.

The veg. variant of Swiss Steak Mozzarella comes with herbed Paneer and tangy dressing which is served with grilled vegetables and parsley potatoes.

Originally a Spanish rice dish, Veg Paella here is tweaked to have soya granules instead of rice to make it a protein-rich dish rather than carb-rich. Try only if you are ok with Soya granules taste.

The fusion dish Kasundi glazed Cottage Cheese was mustard marinated Paneer with Mexican rice. If you like Mexican rice and Paneer, this is the dish to go for.

The misty and warm aroma of apple and mint of a freshly baked Apple Tart, the dessert of the day, was a pure sensory pleasure and so was the cashew and raisin rich Apple Tart itself.

Dark Chocolate Crumble was a perfect end of the meal. Crumbled cookies, caramel crunches, topped with dark chocolate with a little tanginess is a must try dessert for chocolate lovers.
Portion wise, almost every dish is a meal in itself. In the taste, almost every dish was my new favorite. As far as authenticity is concerned, I can’t vouch for it as I was trying all the dishes for the first time except Thukpa.
